Environmental Impact & Social Acceptance
The AWE sector takes its impacts on the environment and citizens very serious. We investigate issues and potential solutions or mitigation measures for AWE impacts on birds and other wildlife, visual impact, noise, public acceptance, community participation /consultation, etc.
AWEurope is partner in the Horizon Europe project JustWind4All where best-practices for citizen engagement for wind projects – including AWE – will be developed.
The IEA Wind Task 48 (WP4) deal with Life Cycle Analyses and Social Acceptance.
