We invite the Wind Energy Community to collaborate on the development of a Reference Economic model for Airborne Wind Energy Systems as a part of the IEA Wind Task 48.

This effort is led by two PhD researchers Rishikesh Joshi (Delft University of Technology) and Filippo Trevisi (Politecnico di Milano) and Airborne Wind Europe. We organize a workshop to kick-off a wider collaboration, in which the PhD researchers will explain their work and the methodology to develop the Reference Economic model further.

WHEN:

Date: 5th July 2023

Time: 9.30-10.30 am CET

The meeting will be recorded and distributed to IEA Wind Task 48 participants and to interested people, upon request.

WHY:

Developing a trusted economic model benefits the whole AWE community.

Companies can use this model to assess the economic viability of their concepts while being sure that their projections are not off within the industry. Academics can use it to assess the economic viability of their research while being sure that their assumptions are aligned with the industry.

If you wish to participate, please contact Filippo Trevisi filippo.trevisi@polimi.it or Rishikesh Joshi r.joshi@tudelft.nl.
