In the run-up to the AWEC 2024, Spanish newspaper La Voz de Galicia has written an article about Airborne Wind Energy after attending this week the webinar “Advances in Airborne Wind Energy” given completely in Spanish and hosted by Airborne Wind Europe, CT Ingenieros and Universidad Carlos III of Madrid.

The journalist who wrote this article, Beatriz Couce, pointed out how Airborne Wind Energy works, its latest international developments, the importance of AWE for Spain highlighting the outstanding example of La Gomera and also the relevant role that, Head-Up, our spanish key member located in Galicia, plays, pushing for bringing an AWE pilot project to this region situated in the northwest of Spain which counts on awesome wind conditions.

Couce also, underlined the AWE reserarch development in Spain carried out by Universidad Carlos III of Madrid who made also a huge effort oreganising in their Campus in Leganés (Madrid) a showcase of a real 40m2 Kitepower kite whetting the appetite of #AWEC2024 which will take place also in Madrid, in Campus Puerta de Toledo of UC3M, from 24 to 26 of this April.
